Missouri State University hosts AITP Region 4 Student Conference
The Missouri State University (MSU) student chapter successfully hosted a Region 4 conference and competition on October 23 and 24th in Springfield, Missouri. MSU students were joined by fellow AITP members from Missouri Western State University, University of Central Missouri, and Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.
Featured speakers included Kurt Theobold, CEO of Classy Llama (an E-Commerce agency), Dr. Shannon McMurtrey, Director of the MSU Cybersecurity program, and Jeremy Bartley, Co-Founder & CMO of ThinkDigital. Both Shannon and Jeremy are members of the Southwest Missouri chapter.
Students competed in six events and awards were presented during a banquet at the historic Kentwood Hall on the MSU campus. Winners include:

The MSU students look forward to hosting again next October. The R4 event will start just one day after the very successful techITout technology showcase and expo, which is hosted by the Southwest Missouri chapter. The techITout event provides technology demonstrations and professional development programs which draws over 800 registered attendees each year. Combining the two events will offer a great opportunity for professional development as well as friendly competition with fellow students.
